What you'll need
- Your Albanian personal number (numri personal, NID), shown on your Albanian ID card or passport.
- The expiry date of your Albanian ID card. The form asks for it only if the civil status records hold one; otherwise the field shows N/A.
- An email address you check regularly, not already used for another e-Albania account.
- A mobile number, also not already used for another account. The form lets you pick the country from a list of flags, and the UK and the US are near the top; e-Albania's help page writes UK numbers as 0044 followed by the number.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Albanian ID card?
You need your Albanian personal number (NID). If the civil status records hold an expiry date for your ID card, the form asks for that too. If you've never had an ID card, or don't know these details, the Albanian Embassy in London says it can provide them: email the consular section with a photo of an ID document, your date and place of birth, all the names you've had, and your parents' names. Or message us and we'll look at your case.
Can my son or daughter use their own email?
Only if that email isn't already used for another e-Albania account, because each email and each number can be registered to one user only.
