Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we collect when you use asistencealbania.com, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

1Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Asistencealbania, based in Shkodër, Albania (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@asistencealbania.com, or on WhatsApp at the number shown on our website.

Documents may contain sensitive information. We ask only for what the procedure requires, and we use it only for your request.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

4Who we share it with

We share your data only as needed to provide the service:

  • Public authorities (for example e-Albania, the Social Insurance Institute, the cadastre office), when we submit your request.
  • Stripe: card payments.
  • Supabase: secure database and file storage for our case files, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): messaging with you.

These providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it.

5Transfers outside your country

Some providers (for example Stripe, Vercel and Meta) may process data outside Albania or the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6How long we keep it

  • Documents you send us: until your request is completed, and then for up to 12 months in case you need them again; after that we delete them.
  • Request and contact details: for up to 5 years after your last request, to handle any follow-up or claim.
  • Payment and accounting records: for as long as tax law requires.
  • Requests that were never paid: deleted within 6 months.

You can ask us to delete your data earlier, unless we are required by law to keep it.

7How we protect it

Your case file and documents are stored in a private, encrypted storage area. Only authorised staff can open them, with their own personal login. Documents we send you use download links that expire after 7 days. All connections to our website are encrypted (HTTPS).

8Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • see the data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to certain uses;
  • receive your data in a portable format.

Write to us on WhatsApp or by email. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

9Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. When you pay, Stripe’s payment page may use its own cookies, which are necessary for a secure payment. The staff area of the website uses your browser’s storage only to keep authorised staff logged in.

10Children

Our services are intended for adults (18 or over). If you are acting for a family member, make sure you are entitled to share their data with us.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We publish every change on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Albania, the Information and Data Protection Commissioner; in the European Union, the authority of the country where you live (for example, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali in Italy).
