The Albanian property certificate (certifikatë pronësie) is issued by the State Cadastre Agency (Agjencia Shtetërore e Kadastrës, ASHK) and can be requested through e-Albania. You need it to sell, inherit, take out a loan, divide a property, or simply to check the property's legal status.
Who this service is for
- You own a house, a flat or land in Albania and live in the UK, the US or elsewhere.
- You're dealing with a family property, for example for a sale or an inheritance.
- You've started the request on e-Albania and don't know how to continue.
What's included
- A check of the property details you need for the request.
- Making the request on e-Albania and following it up.
- Guidance on next steps if the property has registration problems.
How it works
- Choose the service and pay online.
- Send us the property details you have on WhatsApp.
- We follow the request and let you know before any state fee is due.
Good to know
- Our €14.99 fee is for the assistance. ASHK charges its own fee, paid separately: for the standard certificate, e-Albania lists 3,000 lekë (October 2026). It can be paid online by card on e-Albania.
- e-Albania states that the certificate is issued to the owner, or to one of the co-owners. A representative or a notary can also make the request.
- If you need someone in Albania to act for you, the Albanian Embassy in London explains that a special power of attorney (prokurë e posaçme) is applied for on e-Albania and signed in person at the consulate.
- For unregistered properties, or ones with problems, the procedure is longer, and we'll explain the route.
If you read Albanian and want to do it yourself, see our guide to the property certificate.
