In short: decisions on the legalisation of buildings now arrive directly in your e-Albania profile, and fees of the State Cadastre Agency (ASHK) can be paid by card when you apply. ASHK aims to be fully digital by the end of 2026.
Legalisation decisions in your e-Albania profile
Since February 2026, according to ASHK, legalisation decisions are no longer collected at a counter or sent by post: they appear in the citizen's e-Albania profile, on phone or computer.
Card payment and automated services
At the end of 2025, ASHK director general Lorena Goxhobelli announced that:
- fees can be paid by bank card directly on e-Albania, without going to a post office or bank (a system developed with AKSHI);
- the cadastre offers 10 automated services, up from 5 at the start of 2025;
- all 33,000 cadastral map sheets are being digitised, with UNOPS.
What it means for you, even from abroad
- Your e-Albania account must be active, with the email and phone number you use today: that is where documents and notifications arrive.
- Have the property details ready: property number and cadastral zone, found in old certificates, sale contracts or inheritance deeds.
- Check the fee on the service page in e-Albania before paying.
